That is a very rare loco. It was a private release for AZL Collectors only. Only 9 were produced (3 of each road number). Wow!! How many of this private releases did you do? The Rio Grande Challenger (see below) was "normal"? Best, Sven

Todays find at the GSMTS Train Show in Timonium Maryland. I still can't believe my luck Not only was I able to pick them up for a very reasonable price, They were the 2 road numbers that I didn't have. I Finally have all 3 road numbers

Less than American Z Line sold them for when Brand New they were still wrapped in the orignal plastic with the Ajin sticker/seal intact.

Remember this well. The AZL brass B&O E8 locomotives were originally painted in other railroad colors. We sent several back to the AJIN factory for repaint. AZL B&O E8A numbers: 29

I have a question about all of these brass models they are surely a wonderful collection item (not in may budget category ) , but I guess that they run well, as they are heavier than plastic one's Am I right ?
is there any catalog of the brass models ?
