I don't have a brass E7 But I do have a Brass E8A & E8B and have test fitted a injected molded Chassis in both. The brass shell is slightly larger than the injected model so the injected chassis will slip right in. You have to add a few shim's on the top and sides of the injected chassis to keep the brass shell sitting properly But it will work. The same goes for the Brass PA1 PB1 The new PA1 injected molded Chassis is slightly smaller than it's Brass counterpart. Add a few shims and the injected chassis will fit just fine.

Nice paint/decals and nice pics! Is that an MTL coupler on the front of the PA1? Yep, all brass AZL locos have MTL couplers. Dom

I have certainly invested a lot in model railroads, and would love to have a Big Boy, but concentrating so much in a single loco ... I keep hoping for a plastic version someday.

I have never seen the Clinchfield Challenger loco before. Therefore, I was very happy that I could shoot these photos for documentation: Are there others out there? Best, Sven

I think if I remember correctly, the UP sent the 3985 east a long time ago, and they had temporary magnetic lettering on the tender sides. So this may be genuine!

That is a very rare loco. It was a private release for AZL Collectors only. Only 9 were produced (3 of each road number).

We have collected several broken, distressed Cab Forwards. We could re-built 2 of them, but however they are of course no more proper Ajin/AZL locos. Thus, we took the liberty to give them a Daylight painting, which is a fantasy painting AZL never used. But I like it a lot and dare to share it with you: Let me know what you think! best, Sven
