Got the scoop. He placed the $10K auction for the second locomotive. The price was so that no one but the original bidder would bid or could "make an offer" that he would accept. The final price was $2350.00 for the pair + baggage.

Is it my imagination or does it seem that the same sellers have always seem to have significant stock of the limited production items very shortly after they items are sold out at AZL?

These pictures are stunning. In my opinion, with brass locomotives made by Ajin, AZL reached the pinnacle of rail modeling. My greatest regret as a Z scale collector is that I couldn’t afford them 15/20 years ago, when they were released. Nowadays, their prices having skyrocketed, I am just happy with looking at dioramas and videos of such masterpieces :-)
