Thank you, Rob A, That helps so ignorant modellers like me a lot. One more question if I may: from 1950 onwards they used the silver painted streamliners (which e.g. Maerklin was providing together with their Southern F7)? And these were headed by your E8? I will try to get hold of a PS4 Pacific from Aspenmodel and will turn a set into two-tone-green. I will show then the pics here. Meanwhile, does someone has a Southern Mikado for me? They seem all to be out of stock. Best, Sven Hi Sven, Yes - the Marklin silver Southern lightweight cars do work well with our E8. There was quite a bit of thought that went into our selection of the All Green heavyweights for the Crescent set. While the Two Tone Green of the Crescent LIMITED is a beautiful livery, it would not have worked with any of our diesel Southern locomotives (that color scheme was gone by the time the E units arrived on the Southern) on the other hand, the All Green heavyweights were in service when the Virginia Green Southern steam locomotives were still working on the Southern. So the all Green made more sense. We are sold out of our Southern Mikados, but that doesn't mean we forget those who bought those models from us. For that reason, we wanted to offer a set that would compliment their purchases, and enhance the value of their locomotives. That is another ideal we try to uphold: do things that will increase the value of your AZL collection. Best, -Rob(A) AZL
