Any steam would be great. I love my fleet of mikados. They need some contemporary companions!

If it's a Switcher how about SW1200 both my roads had them If you want to cast a vote for an SW1200, vote for the SW1500. If you look at what MTL did in N, the mech should work for both if they do it right. Then once the SW1500 mech exists, the step to an SW9/1200 is a short one. I voted for an SW1500 because that would be one of my first wants for my current layout. But I pause a bit since MTL had one under development and I wonder how far along they really were. So as far as steering AZL toward their next locos, I would hate to get a duplication if MTL ever decided to move forward. I would love to have some Gensets, although I'm curious how well they would pull given their short stature. Like the prototypes, you might need 3 or 4...that's fine if they're priced around the GP38's but at $200+ a pop I probably wouldn't be interested. But of all on this list, I think they're probably at the top if I say I'm gonna beg off the SW1500. I also voted for the SD60 as the BN SD60M's and Oakway SD60's are among my favorites, and there are tons of other roads. But push comes to shove I can do without them. Also voted for GP40, not because I specifically want GP40's but rather a general vote for modern 4-axle diesels. I would love to have BN GP50's and ATSF GP60's, M's and B's. And among modern 4-axles would be the Dash 8 series from GE. Didn't vote for SD40-2's even though it's one of my favorite locos. They're available...albeit "fat"...in Z already. Would love to see better versions, but not at the expense if a number of other locos. I truly think that ES44AC's (on the way), ES44DC's, and C44-9W's are good bets right now, and the C44-9W's done in plastic are number one on my list. And finally, I would throw a vote in for SD70MAC's, simply for selfish reasons as BN and BNSF had a ton of them and they are key locomotives on the line I model. But while I would love to see them, I'm probably ok "fudging" those using SD70M's.

The EMD-NW2 brings back memories, I grew up in a mining camp (Morenci, AZ) and they would use number 3 and 4, sometimes #7 to take the freight and copper back and forth to Clifton, AZ for Southern Pacific to transfer to their spur that connected to the main line in Lordsburg,NM. My father was friends with one of the Engineers. It would be really neat to have one painted in the mining Co's gray and yellow colors!

I know that they're not on the list, but I'd love a bunch of old GE 4 and 6 axle units to mix in with all of my EMD units. Thanks! Bill

We certainly need more steam! Is there any steam in the works since it's not on the list?

Another notch for STEAM! I think a bigger steamer, like a 4-8-4 Northern, would be the ticket. Imagine how easily it could be adopted for centipede tenders, oil burners, coal burners, 2-8-4 or 4-8-2's, etc.... can't imagine the Mikado couldn't be adapted for a multitude of other engines as well.... Still, my vote went toward the FA1 and the SW1500 (in hopes for an earlier SW1200 etc)

I would love to see some SW's in CP and CN liveries which is my first choice. Second choice wold be SD40-2's tied with SD 60's Does this mean that AZL has abandoned it's plans to produce the ES44ACE? I have been waiting for these in the Canadian Pacific livery and I want 6 of them. I don't see them on the list.

Anything from this list I would not expect earlier than 2 years time

This list is to help us decide which project(s) we work on next. Anything on this list is probably about 2 years away. We will be delivering the GE ES44AC locomotives later this year, and hopefully several "new tooling" rolling stock projects as well.
