I though the FEC 107 supposed to be a SD70M2

But isn't an SD70M-2 nothing more than SD70ACe with DC internals?

I though the FEC 107 supposed to be a SD70M2 While it's labeled as an SD70ACe, looking at the photo it appears to actually be an SD70M-2 with safety cab as it should be. ~Paul E.

I saw that Paul, and looks like all the M2's will be using the NS style of grills.

Yes the FEC is a SD70M-2. Sorry my fault when I listed these. I have corrected the listing for the FEC and other upcoming releases. The CNs are also SD70M-2s.

Then they are all SD70M-2s since they all are DC. Sorry couldn't stop my self. I was just about to ask the same question. I saw yesterday a guy who had converted/detailed/weathered a Walthers H0 SD70ACe to a CN SD70M-2 and I thought what's the big difference visually. Now I know. Thanks. So the CN should be SD70M-2? One remaining question though, what is the difference between safety cab and original cab? I thought they all were safety cab when not standard cab like SD70M vs SD70.
Cheers Mikael

Not true Mikael. For us who run dcc, our locos run on AC.
On the ACe, there's two cab. One is the isolation cab, and the other is non isolation cab.

Not quite the only difference. Also note the panel shape with the louvers below the road number. Non-isolation cab its rectangular, on the 'Safety Cab' there is a slant.
