Hmmmm, any updates as to wether we will see some more F3's in new road names, or will you guy's be putting efforts into the F7 program? I really want some Milwaukee Road F-units, but the M-T's I have are getting old and trouble some. Be nice to have some F-units trouble free on my freights!  |

cwrr, I want to (seriously) congratulate you on actually waiting the time period the manufacturer gave before asking about status. In all my years of being on forums, I've never seen that!   He said work would start early 2017, with one year lead time to early 2018, and here we are! And here you are! That's discipline right there. I'm pretty patient, and even *I* don't have that level of stoic ability. Normally, there's at least a monthly "are we there yet, are we there yet" from someone. I guess I should congratulate all the forum participants.  . (I am being a little silly, but seriously it is impressive) |

In the NTS thread, Hans said that F7s are 'probably before next summer'. In this thread, Rob said there will be new F3 road names for the 2016; that didn't happen. Further down the thread, Hans said 'no dates on the next F3 batch. It will likely consist of F7s and F3s'. My guess is we will see F units with the California Zephyr. Any thoughts?  |

When I modeled Milw in n-scale years ago, NO ONE even thought about producing anything that was run by The Road!! most was custom painted or scratchbuilt back then. Oddly, there is more available in Z now, than there ever was in N-scale!!  |

CZ update. Looks like sets will be delivered before Summer. And no surprise, we have made CZ matching F3s for all railroads.

MILW is part of future rerun. The CZ locomotives are already made.

Did anybody try to dress an AZL F-Unit chassis with a MTL F7 shell ? Any match without heavy drilling/filing work ? Dom Yes I have put a AZL Chassis in a MTL F7 shell it was a little loose on the fit so i added a layer or 2 of kapton tape on each side to create a snug fit. |
