I've seen a couple of his kits pop up on eBay from time to time, but the prices are always ridiculously high The last one I saw was a couple months ago, a unpainted built up kit listed as (ready to run)for $759.00. I do not know why or what caused L G Thek's disappearance from the Z scale community. I have spoken with a few people who had paid for completed models from them but never received it/them or a refund. I have wanted one ever since I first saw one, but I didn't learn of their existence till after he had disappeared. which may have bin a blessing in disguise as I probably would have bin another of those who paid and never got anything. Here is a pic of the SW-01 fert I'm still Looking for the rest of the parts that came with the kit as well as a copy of the original instructions. so I can build it. I got the brass fert by way of a chance meeting of someone in a chat room who had it and the circuit board but non of the other stuff. David

David,
As you're aware, you're still missing a few parts - taps/drills, wheels, brass screws/nuts and a few brass details parts. I'd be more than happy to send you the instructions and taps/drills, if you want to p.m. your address. There shouldn't be any reason you could not scratch build and or buy the remaining parts(screws/nuts, brass tube/wire) to complete this project. Let me know

There has been a French offering switchers; proto87.team.pagesperso-orange.fr/ May be our French Z-scalers know him better, Gerard Huet.Does he deliver??? Best, Sven That is what I hoped... I actually got a bad experience here. We got in contact (pretty good actually earlier this year, with quick email answers, phone call). We discussed a lot about his switchers, and he actually made a new design (D&RGW GE44ton) on my demand. When the switcher was ready in September (rather quickly!), I paid him using paypal and asked to send it a week after (I was on duty). This is when I got his last email " ok I right in down on my agenda"... Since then, after many emails and no answers (and 462$ away!) I contacted paypal to get a reply from him. The deadlines came and still no answer..... I really wonder what happened... I finally and luckily got my money back thanks to paypal....almost all, because of the €/$ changes I lost about 12€... I send him a last email to ask this money left, still waiting... .. but I'm really sad about this story and I cannot recommend such seller....at least not until I get excuses and /or answers of what happened. I don't get it... (I'm still ready for discussion if he wants....but I won't buy, sorry)

It's a pity, Lajos had some health issues and also a certain age to call the quits. Had some great projects in the pipeline too. The other issue was the donor engine for the SW-1, the chassis German Class 89 from Marklin has been discontinued, too. I bought all remaining parts of Lajos and build dozens of those locos, great fun. I might have bits left over. The SW-00 was running on his own chassis or Searails

I sent few more emails, nothing...I tried to call him...nothing So, I really warn those who dream of his switchers, keep it as a dream and save your money! Never go there, do not buy these switchers, you won't see anything coming and you will lose time and money! Let's now hope for better and more serious builders! AZL? Charlie

You definitely want to steer clear of this Huet fellow (personal experience).
