Got my syrup cars today. I really like the overall look, they will be perfect for my layout. Question though...did you intend to leave off the top-side reporting marks? I know some of the syrup cars may have been delivered without them, but these particular cars would have been painted after May of 2001 so there's a great chance they had them. Proto photos bore this out as well. And, your samples at the NTS had them. I did a real quick review of the cars on Trainboard. www.trainboard.com/highball/index.php?threads/azl-17-600-gal-corn-syrup-tank-car-quick-review.85794/

Proto photos bore this out as well. And, your samples at the NTS had them. Good eye and excellent research! Quick answer: After some research we discovered that not all cars had them: www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=2735356It appears that some were shopped with the new logo but the reporting marks did not go on the top. But good news! There will another release of ADMX because it was exceptionally popular and common. The next one is meant to represent the current condition and has reporting numbers on the top. It will also have safety reflector stripes on the sides. Best, -Rob

Rob,
Thanks for the quick response. Your comments all sound reasonable to me and about what I had figured.
These cars did not disappoint, I really like them and can't wait to get more schemes.
Regards,
Doug
