As said before, Dirk has been working on a "straight track line - only!" layout, which is now finished and delivered to its new owner. While one may think that a layout without any switch in the visible area may be quite boring, reality taught us the contrary - it is highly entertaining to watch the trains go by. The fun part, of course, is to surprise the observer with every time new trains which are put together at the large yard in the shadow. Hoping that this layout stimulates to build your own, it is quickly done - given its simplicity! Enjoy! Best, Sven & Dirk

Love that Union Pacific in the high desert of the west-perfect!! Usually the mainline will be a little higher than the second track or passing track, so this looks good!

Every time I think I know how to model, or that my layout or module looks good, I come take a look at this thread. Then I am reminded of how very much I have to learn, and how much my skills can improve. It is Incredible - and I say that as someone who lives close to the Chesapeake and the Eastern Shore. Thank you very, very much, Rob, Enjoy the summer at The Bay! All the best, Sven

With this fully functional little railway "on stage" we participate at a Diorama competition by a German model railroad magazine named MIBA, here is the link: shop.vgbahn.info/miba/news/Reif+f%C3%BCr+die+B%C3%BChne_770.htmlI will keep you informed how the poll goes after our piece has been in print ( "on stage") in the September issue of MIBA. Please be so kind and vote for it if you like it. Enjoy your summer!! A preview is now possible at Dirk`s webpage: www.helenensiel.com/DioramenHere we could catch some of Gerd`s WP beauties on this layout. Gives it a very exclusive touch......

Great Stuff, All of it!
I want to know where the Santa Fe early E unit and the passengers cars came from.
Are they commercial or scratch-built?
I need some.
I've never seen anything like your work on these...
Thanks again for the pictures!
