Since I grew up on a island on the North sea (named Foehr), there was one thing that was so typical and so scenic for this landscape, that I was wondering whether this can be found at the Chesapeake Bay as well. So I studied the maps and interviewed some American friends and they confirmed, yes, there had been a lot of them and some of them may even exist today. What am I searching for? A windmill !!! In our scale, Archistories produces such a wind mill in an unseen before quality. In the US Anthony is offering the wind mill under the name of "Marienfehn", here is the link: www.zscalemonster.com/archistories/ . Anthony writes in the brief description: "The windmill ‘Marienfehn' is the oldest and most popular mill design. It is a highly detailed statue of a windmill whose example, one of the quite rare' right turners', once stood in Toftum auf Foehr. Of course this windmill kit is also equipped with a high-quality drive, allowing for a realistic slow and smooth rotation of the fine mill wings. A solid substructure, large-scale wood engraving and a lot of fine separately applied details to make the windmill ‘Marienfehn’ into a universal eye-catcher."Well, we will put that to a test and will report back to you ;-) Best, Sven Sorry for the delay, but finally it`s done. The video is tailor-made for the European market, but I am sure you recognize the layout. Our US wind mill has white wings! Take a deep look: Enjoy! Sven

FYI, Karl Sinn will present the Niles Junction layout for the first time to the public at the prestigious "Plattform der Kleinserie" in Bauma, Switzerland, October 9-11. Here is the link: www.kleinserie.chI will report on the feed-back Niles Junction receives by the rail modeling experts. I am so excited!! Karl Sinn`s web page is www.spur-z-atelier.de/spur-z/mittsommer-am-trollfjord.phpHave a nice Sunday! Sven Everything went perfectly well in Bauma - more than 2300 people visited us. For a lot, AZL was new to them. We showed them the AZL jewels and they were deeply impressed. Following Gerd`s recommendation, all running material had been weathered ;-) !! Uncle Will`s WP hoppers looked super realistic - fun to watch! As soon as more reports come in, I will keep you in the loop......... Best, Sven

The last cars (Porsche`s !!) are heading uphill. The first car load is on its way towards the new destination. Over this bridge...... .....and then downhill ......

Even after the first train has left the station, there are many more that need to be transported; ....and some prefer to have a snack first ;-) ...., but not only the automobile have to be transported, the drivers need a lift, too. Therefore, this little, cute one has been ordered: Best, Sven PS: If you look down to the lake, you see the birds preparing to leave to the South. It indeed, has become Autumn ;-)

As we were missing badly some WP power, some SP`s had to do the job. People were deeply impressed when this string of bloody nose GP 9s pulled their freight train through Niles Junction....... (all pictures by Jens Wimmel, more under www.zettzeit.ch/aktuell.html )
