This month, AZL has released BNSF 60' beer reefers. I am quite excited by this release since I had a chance to see these cars in person at the Coors plant in Golden Colorado. The track were filled with BNSF reefers with the swoosh logo as well as BNSF reefers with the round herald logo. I found this photo online showing a BNSF reefer with the swoosh logo. As a followup release, I already suggest to Hans and Rob to offer the BNSF with the round herald. Tonight I heard from a conductor for the NS. He works out of the PA. It is known that the BNSF cars move beer from Golden. But they are also used to haul wine from Sacramento to Scranton PA. Okay East coast - NS fans - you may want one or two for your rosters! Rob

I had a customer asking about the WP beer car. Here is a photo of one sitting in Pennsylvania in 2005. Rob

This month, AZL has released BNSF 60' beer reefers. I am quite excited by this release since I had a chance to see these cars in person at the Coors plant in Golden Colorado. The track were filled with BNSF reefers with the swoosh logo as well as BNSF reefers with the round herald logo. As a followup release, I already suggest to Hans and Rob to offer the BNSF with the round herald. Rob Came across this thread in Google search results looking for pics of the BNSF R-70-20's. Normally I'm not a fan of reviving old topics but this is illustrative of how important the first run of AZL stuff is. Sometimes, there isn't a second run. I'm not sure if this tooling was among the "held hostage" molds from the China Syndrome factory meltdown, but there are still some schemes that could warrant another run if not. I know there are still a lot of certain roads available, but there are as many sold out as well. Anyway, couple of ideas for additional schemes: -The aforementioned BNSF Circle logo. There are actually two major variations of the circle scheme on these cars. exactrail.com/collections/platinum-series/products/pc-f-beer-car-bnsf-CryoTrans. Same basic scheme that is applied to the AZL Trincool cars. -Santa Fe. Newer, simplified scheme versus the big logo 70's scheme that was done. exactrail.com/collections/platinum-series/products/pc-f-beer-car-atsf-gothic-repaint (maybe not *this* simplified...some have the smaller circle-cross logos and/or Q logos...both easily removed to create this level of simple) -Manufacturer's Railway. Really cool scheme that made it's way around the U.S. -Others. Simplified BN, newer Mopac/UP, Circle Logo Mopac, various Lease schemes (patched older schemes, in many cases) exactrail.com/collections/platinum-series/products/pc-f-beer-car-mp-weathered (Weathered, hint hint) (will continue to edit and add examples) BTW, this isn't something I'm super passionate about. I actually have some of these cars I've stripped to make some of these schemes. Just thought it a fun exercise. Thought the comment about the Circle Logo beer cars by Rob was kinda neat. So, no need for the snarky comments that I get every time I post something like this. It's just for fun people.
