Sorry to tell you Commodore they announced the next brass release At the NTS in Portland it will be Brass: D&RGW and SP Krauss-Maffei ML-4000. Yep I said the same thing and had to look it up to even see what it looked like. I really hope they do the B unit for it. that's not to say they might have a surprise for us but so far no brass steam. Also someone already makes a Hudson class 4-6-4 comes in Milwaukee Road paint but can be repainted. I'm going for Wabash paint should look awesome. here is a link aspenmodel.com/Steam-Locomotives-Z-Nn3-N/Steam-Locomotives-Gauge-Z/30030-RTR-Z-Milwaukee-Hudson-Class-F6-4-6-4-brass::369.html

Thank you, Dave!
Wonder how it runs? Looks like it is Marklin 8882 with a custom tender.
I have a Marklin (My Namesake) that runs pretty good.
Might not be too tough to paint, either...
Thanks again!

Commodore Keep a eye on eBay for a Marklin 88075 ( Marklin's version of the New York Central Commodore Vanderbilt 4-6-4 Hudson) They don't come up for sale /auction all that often. And when they do pop up theirs usually a pretty hefty price tag on them. The one I have is a Nice looking, Smooth running, Reliable loco. I've run it at shows for hours on end with out any problems.

David Thank you, David They do run really well. I'd rather have another one of these ...than to take a chance on an unknown quantity. Maybe someone has one with some "cosmetic " problems. If anybody has one like that, ...let me know, I'll buy it. Thanks again!

Commodore, the Aspen model is a Brass Shell and tender on a Marklin chassis and it runs really nice. I do agree with David the 88075 is a very nice engine I've seen it run at shows. I'll take a video of my Aspen 4-6-4 tomorrow so you can see it run.

I appreciate that you are taking the time to do this, ...and very much look forward to seeing the video. Thanks again! Rory

Thank you, Dave:
I really like the look of that loco in person. I'm impressed at how good it runs, too.
That is what I'm after, I think. I'm sold!
I also like your test track. My only other post on this forum was about that very thing.
I'm going to have to have one like yours, too.
Thanks again, for your time and kindness

No problem Rory, Figure 8 is best for test track for Loco break in. If you'll be running a lot of steam Don't go smaller than 220 radi. Bought a door blank from home depot for $40 and mounted track to it. Easy to slide under bed if I need to. If you think you might get into AZL "Big" Brass Steam 270mm best for break in track.

Dave, Thanks again!
I noticed the large LP gas tank on the board in the middle of your test track.
However, I couldn't get your LP tank train video to load on Vimeo.
What's up with that?
I'm kidding... but you do need to upload more videos. You've got a lot of rolling stock on the board too!
Thank you once again for uploading the Aspen video!

Dave and David:
I just had to tell this. Got another Marklin 88075 on eBay.de just now.
I know NYC did not have two of these, but I can run all my AZL heavyweight passenger cars now at the same time.
Thanks again for both of your help.
Rory

Hey Rory, Something that will help is take the weights out of the heavyweights I'll post some pictures if you need. the top of the car pulls off and the weight is held on with 2 screws. Have not had one problem with them gone. really made a difference. My cab forward (known to be a bad puller) pulls the 11 car sunset limited no problem.

That is the most awesome train set, ever...
Can't believe all those cars. White was broken up well with the color cars.
Glad you posted it for us.
Thanks again!
