My favorite is the GP7/GP9. Very good for mainline trains, branch line type service, switching, or passenger trains. Can pull cars from 1950 until today. The AZL model looks and runs great, and they could release these things for years with all the paint schemes that would fit. Also there are lots of detail options to match various prototypes.

I am a big fan of the E8/E9! - but it will get very close to the F3 (not subject of this poll). Best, Sven

I have gone ahead ad locked the poll. This is definitely one we can do each year! I will plan to create a new one next year so we can include all of the new and upcoming locomotive releases.
One thing I like about this poll is that favorites are also those releases with the most add on details and shell varieties. True modern continues to be the most popular, but it is nice to see the GP7 and GP9s in 2nd place, especially in light of the new releases with all of the extra pieces and parts.

Thanks everyone! I am going to lock this poll down in the next few days. With the F3s not available, it is already out dated. I am not surprised by the results. It is going to be fun to see how this changes in the coming year(s) as new locomotives are released. Rob Hi Rob, Although nobody voted for the brass Alco PA-1, this does`t necessarily mean nobody is interested in this engine. I would like to make a strong case to make them available as an injection locomotive! I would definitively buy several of them! Am I alone with this opinion? Best, Sven

Best, Sven Hi Sven, Hooo no you're not alone! I did not vote for this one because I don't have it, but as an injection I follow you on this one. It is such a great looking loco, and perfect for the transition era , UP, D&RGW, SP and many more railroads can be modeled! Charlie

Thank you Charlie for your support! Derived from their experience with the brass models AZL should be well able to estimate the market size for an injection moulded model. The brass models at least are highly searched after as the recent EBAY bids illustrate nicely. Best, Sven
