Hans I respect what you do and produce in a major way. The fact that we are at a point in Z scale where we can even have a discussion like this means AZL has "arrived" There are very few true generic locomotive looks out there that can be made. Every road had something it seems and there is always the fan or expert that knows their road better than those that are running the real thing. I love the fact you guys keep trying to get it right, and you take critique for what it is. (I'll give you a shameless plug just baaed on the improvements of the mechanism from the first gen GP7 to the New. You must have listened/fixed pick up issues with the old tabs because you got it right on the new versions. Pickup is flawless)

Hi Joe, If we can fix it, we will try to do it. Correct paint scheme and artwork are always the hard parts. On locomotives, good photos of the roof and rear end can be scarce, complicating the detail search. We will sometimes make mistakes, but we really try to avoid those. We are obviously not in love with generic locomotives and will try to have as many roadname unique parts as possible. The upcoming SP SD45 should be a good example. We continuously try to improve technical parts as well. As you noted, pickup is high on the agenda as well as better gears and motor upgrades. Sincerely, Hans (AZL)

Hi guys, really nice job on the Marklin engines. Just got my SP and UP E units and they run great. Sooooo nice to set up my 10 car Marklin daylight set with a engine that doesn't scream at you. Pulls them like they aren't even there.

I can only confirm - they run great and look beautiful - have a look! But my heart lies with the more than 10 years older GS3/GS4 !! Proof attached! Best, Sven

Sven,
I am really impressed with your dioramas/work! I hope that when my humble little layout is complete that it looks half as good as yours! I envy the GS4 set ;-)
