Sven, While I'm not an expert on D&RGW passengers trains, I think you need to look back a few years before the "Prospector" to more like the Exposition Flyer: www.drgw.org/data/passenger/Expo.htm I'm doing the "Flyer" as a Western Pacific train, but it ran on CB&Q, D&RGW and WP as a Pullman-only and tourist section trains, with each road providing coaches, diners and head-end equipment (hence the value of just a D&RGW baggage car). Interesting, Mark, and a very informative web page. I connected the "flyer" with WP and CB&Q, but not with the DRGW. Other scale has produced the flyer as an all heavyweight pullman train. >> www.railwayclassics.com/ExpoFlyer.htmIf I read the consist listing correctly, most of the passenger cars were CB&Q and WP. Hi Charlie, If you look at the DRGW train consists, e.g. the Prospector, then all the passenger cars are lightweight pullman cars, I could`t find any heavyweights..... In the meanwhile, I help myself and use the baggage car as interface to the California Zephyr from Märklin. It is quite prototypically I guess (see picture by Donald Beneke). Best regards, Sven Yes you're right, I just read that in a book "North American railroads encyclopedia", apparently, mainly lightweight cars were used by DRGW , other company cars were used together.
