Scenery is mind blowing, absolute realistic, but the unweathered locos and rolling stock give it away.

Gerd, your opinion is highly appreciated please, I/we would like to publish the layout "Chesapeake Bay" in the Model Railroader once it is finished and there is a chance. Do you recommend that we only use weathered locos and rolling material on the layout pictures? Best, Sven

Hi Sven, Absolutely, the Chessie locos only look good when they came out of the yard, their colour scheme always have evidence of some kind od dirt and grim. I doesn't need to be a run down unit like Aaron's GP30, this loco looks more like years after the merger into CSX. Regarding rolling stock weathering is a must, they are only clean when new.
