Lots of good stuff in that video. I like that there are SLSF & RI units among the locos. I hope that some of those SLSF units will be in the black & yellow scheme. 🤞

I’m very excited to see the NW J is coming! I believe this will be the first AZL brass steam loco from an eastern road!

Couple of questions: 1. Can I assume that a newly tooled Automax, plus re-runs of bethgons, PS2CDs, autoracks, et al are NOT in the plans at this time? (meaning, probably next 18-months to 2 years-ish at the earliest) I may move forward with some custom decals if so. 2. Any guesses as to the timeframe on the new GE's? (Dash 9's and AC4400's) Sorry if I missed that info in the video. I'm actually in no hurry so this is not "are we there yet" but more "take your time". The above are not complaints at all, I'm very grateful for the announcements especially after learning that the "un-modified" tank cars are in the works. And I've already bought out the first round of FBOX numbers.

CNJ F3—Will this run include both Tangerine and Blue paint scheme, Green and Yellow paint scheme, or both? (We saw multiple paint schemes for AZL PRR E8s, SP PAs, WP F7s, SP E8s, NH PAs, etc.) Scott

I am excited too, some good stuff coming from AZL. I ordered a pair of those exquisite GATX tankers to re-number GATX 1700-1749 leased to Zahori MX. Slight modelers license, as I only have to remove the end placards for a great representation. I already made decals, just need different car numbers. There were lots of these seen in MRL's Laurel Yard, Montana. I also like the 1937 AAR cars, will wait for an NP scheme release on those. I also need a UP GP30A and B set, and I made decals for BN GP30 rebuilds into GP39E and M locos that I want to do and use my coveted BLMA etched stainless loco super detail etchings on. Oh yeah, the Powhatan Arrow, I thought of this train when AZL did the SP Daylight trains back in the day, why not do the Arrow too, well I gotta make sure not to miss this one. The Class J 4-8-4 just says Art Deco in steam, just like the GP30 does in diesel. Weakness for all art deco, I have to have them. Yes, I know, I know, why does an NP modeler want non NP stuff? Did I mention Art Deco? I already have a Z Scale Art Deco electric train in my collection too, can you guess which one? How does this all tie in with the NP? Raymond Loewy! Loewy designed steam, electric, and diesel locomotives for the Pennsylvania Railway. He also designed the color schemes and interiors for all the Northern Pacific Railway’s North Coast Limited cars, which is my favorite. Raymond Loewy was one of several industrial designers from the Art Deco movement, along with Henry Dreyfuss, and Otto August Kuhler, and nothing quite say's railroading to me like Art Deco Trains! Woah there. Woah there. Pull back on them reins. There’s an art history professor I know that would have our balls in a sling for throwing around the term Art Deco. Fortunately for us, I don’t think she monitors this forum. Art Deco is a movement that culminated and ended in the 1930s—Please be reminded. Streamlining steam locomotives was a part of that movement as well as an outgrowth of that movement. Streamlining diesel locomotives is only a similarity in idea. You are correct to think F-units (Post-War, etc.), by definition, ain’t Art Deco. Likewise, GP30s (’60s, ’70s, and ’80s) ain’t Art Deco, as I am sure you can recall. While the topside angles and curves of the cab roof of a GP30 may suggest Art Deco, it can only be art decoesque, or more properly, faux Art Deco. Calling Mel Gibson Humphrey Bogart would be silly. You’re not silly, are you? You want us to guess the Z scale Art Deco electric train you have? We know it’s not an AZL name train. A brass Southern Pacific Daylight bullet GS steam locomotive is post-1930s, and, therefore … can be only Art Deco-style, by definition. Z scale Art Deco electric train in your collection—My guess: A Märklin Pennsylvania Railroad GG1 hauling an AZL Pennsylvania Railroad consist. (GG1 is absolutely Art Deco.) Will you please indulge me, now? What railroad had the first GP30? Hint: www.readingmodeler.info/index.php/articles/89-locomotive-reference/road-locomotives/185-emd-gp30I am with you. I love trains. I love Art Deco. Giddy up, cowboy! Scott

Pssssst. Pssst. I think Hans is gone.
Doncha get it? Central theme to the video is some old, some new.
Logically, there’ll be a rerun, then, of that old that sold out, ay? Perhaps we may expect: B&O Chessie GP30, C&O Chessie GP30, UP GP30s, etc.; ATSF F3s, D&RGW F3s, WP F3s, etc.; BN bay windows, Chessie bay windows, SOU bay windows, etc.!
While we whine and complain, we fail to see and acknowledge the notion of some old.
Seems like there’s something for all!
Southern bay window?! Union Pacific GP30?! “Well, I believe you may get your headlines, Mr. Ismay [but in a good way].”
Scott
PS:
Should there be a B&O F3 rerun, I hope the grey matches the B&O E7 and B&O E8! (And that the horn trumpets of the F3s stay put! Missing horn trumpet is an Ebay cliché for the F3s.)
An’, while we’re at it, I hope the colors of the Reading GP30 matches the color of the Reading switcher!

Fun video. I am extremely excited for some of the future releases! Videos like this really keep the buyer in tune with the manufacturer. Not only does AZL produce the highest quality products, they keep it fun and entertaining. It makes me even more supportive as a buyer. Thank again for everything! 👍🏻👍🏻

I hope we can afford all these new goodies. With the prospect of 60% tariffs on imports from China from late January, I hope AZL have plenty of consignments scheduled before they kick in, or we may all be priced out of railway modelling.
