Is this brass or plastic? Hypothetically speaking of course… Brass was the last I heard. Small run. Expensive.

Future ProductsWhat I can also share with you is that we submitted POs for yet two more new locomotives. Long horizon here. Do not expect those before 2026. Was the DDA40X one of them? 😉 We want a DDA40X, PRETTY PLEASE!

What kind of curves (radius) would that require?

Thats going to look whaky like the Lego Big Boy at the shows. Way worse than the märklin GG’s. And there is going to be a serious issues with coupling.

What kind of curves (radius) would that require? Ed We were discussing this in another topic. If they did a floating axle, the radius would be no different than the ES44AC and SD70ACe. My mock up took 195mm snap track with no issues.

And there is going to be a serious issues with coupling. 😙 We don’t have any issues running 89 foot auto racks & boxcars that have extended couplers. The DDA40X is 9ft longer with shorter couplers. If you don’t like it, then don’t buy one, but many of us do want them made however! 🙂

Yep, it wouldn’t be an issue. Let’s keep the word out there!

That's a great update Hans, thank you. We (Atlas) were over there at the same time. They did see some of the new products being produced and were very impressed.
I'm jeaolous of your short trip, whenever I go over it's a 9-10 day affair hopping all around south China!
I'm really looking forward to the SD50/60 series, if you do Conrail and/or SP you'll have my money. Same goes for the CR SD40-2s.
It's a great time to be in Z, thank you Rob and Hans.
