My turn? “I model the midwest.” (Mrbarlow.) Chessie and Erie Lackawanna cut the diamonds in the Midwest, as you may know. “As far as Chessie (B&O / C&O / WM) re-runs, those have already been made. … I’m sure they’ll be included when the GP40 or GP35 are released in a few years.” (Mrbarlow.) You wanna talk about fast sellout items?! AZL Chessie GP38-2s lasted less than two years on the dealer sites. Jeepers! (Pun.) Make more. … Puhleeese. “[Chessie (B&O / C&O / WM)] included when the GP40 or GP35 are released in a few years.” (Mrbarlow.) In a few years?! Cut that time in half. … Puhleeese. “More B&O Chessie … B&O … C&O” (Mgatdog.)—Quite correct. In light of new tooling necessary for a rerun of GP9s … Saw a pair of GP9s in black with the white pinstripe and green diamond logo for Illinois Central. That’s it. AZL could do a rerun of GP9s for all roads. … Maybe, even, a two-loco set in different paint schemes for some roads. It’d be a continuous thing until we’re all blue in the face (A B&O pun?). mrbarlow, I noticed that one of the wanted roadnames on your list was the TP&W. I have 2 TP&W GP38-2s. I haven't done a red with white lettering .....yet. This is the TP&W "Original" paint scheme that AZL needs to make. With NON - DB of course:

Wow, you have some varied interests! Good bet that quite a few of those made it to Chicago at times. I model the midwest. All road names listed were "built" at EMD, LaGrange, IL (suburb of Chicago). Canadian roads were built at GMD, London, ON. Everything on rails, sooner or later, goes through Chicago. As far as Chessie (B&O / C&O / WM) re-runs, those have already been made. I'm sure they'll be included when the GP40 or GP35 are released in a few years. This thread is about second run GP 38’s Well as I remember AZL did one run only of GP38-2 in Chessie B&O and C&O and sold out in couple years. As for a request on second round of B&O Chessie is up to AZL but it was a good seller for them. Like them bringing back another round of NS Heritage units which was a sell out. As far B&O an C&O I’m just requesting the solid blue shell with yellow lettering in there rerun of GP 38-2’s which has never been done. Plus WM didn’t have a GP 38-2 As for PLE and Monongahela it’s a wish that they would add.( With Rob K is probably hoping for the PLE too)

Thank you for all the GP38-2 feedback. Sorry, the Southern High Hood will not be possible. The tooling is not set up for this version. Hello Hans, Here's a Revised "Short list". Added IHB as they are very popular road with HO and N modelers. IHB 3801 Orange over black "Lightning Stripe" Producing these would help bring in new Z scalers, thereby growing AZL's appeal, scope and sales volume. BRC (Belt Rwy. of Chicago) CSS (Chicago, South Shore & South Bend) South Shore Freight EJ&E (Elgin, Joliet & Eastern) GM&O (Gulf, Mobile & Ohio) ICG (Illinois Central Gulf) IT (Illinois Terminal) TM (Tex Mex) TP&W (Toledo, Peoria and Western) Thank You Kindly, Mr. B Attachments:

Even though the tooling is not up to AZL's current standards I'm glad to hear that more GP38-2s will be produced. It's a great loco for someone getting started in Z. I have quite a few of them, and they have been the workhorse engines in my roster. In fact there's on one my work table now being decorated for Conrail. With the addition of some of the items in Micron Art detail kit (out of production but shows up on eBay frequently) and some homemade/3D printed parts the GP38-2 can be made to look even better. OOOH! Definitely Santa Fe! My one caveat though, Use road numbers that actually had Dynamic Brakes. Post '85 Rebuild GP38u had DBs 2300-2360 <--- These specifically though. (I'm down for 2302) As Delivered 3500-3560.
Also... um where does one find more Micron Art Kits for these things? I need a few...

I have a saved search for "Micron Art Z Scale" that alerts me whenever they show up. Steve W
