These Ortners look great! I really wish AZL could show a list of all road names and just release all paint schemes at one time just like the larger scales. To wait months for your favorite road to come out can be frustrating. I love Z and love AZL, but I’m am not a fan of the every two week releases, just my opinion.

Never too early in a year for frustration! Search tool yielded: "First Run Railroads: SP, C&O, CSX, FEC, GATX, Conrail, DJJ, NS, SCL, Vulcan and Amtrak" Source: azlforum.com/thread/2482/azl-ortner-open-aggregate-hopper

The problem with releasing all at once (without pre-orders) is...what if you want a lot of the roadnames, and a large number of cars for said roadnames? You could be on the hook for thousands of dollars. Most of us cannot do that, and then we miss out on things we want because the window to buy in Z is very short.
IF there were preorders (like Atlas doesn in N/HO/O) then you could plan your budget a little better.
Trust me, I feel your pain. But if I had to buy all the Maxi-IV's or Spine Cars all at once I would be in trouble.

I buried the lede. Didn't realize the Ortners were coming this quickly! Probably wouldn't have bought the KCS deals knowing this. Thankfully I don't need the CSX but still. The other thing...if these were so far along, I'm guessing the GRR's will be a next run thing.....aka 8-10 years.

That was an add to the order since the last post. Happy New Year! Awesome! I was expecting that if they arrived this fast that the turnaround on a late addition to the roadnames would not have been possible. Granted, it seems like a few weeks ago that we were at the NTS, not 6 months. Time flies. Another thing, thanks for keeping the price reasonable on these, as building unit trains is tough at $45 a pop. I might actually be able to make this work!
