My method may be overkill for some applications, but I use 2-part epoxy to bond track to cork or the metal of a bridge, as seen in this photo. I roughen up the underside of my MTL flex track to provide a little "tooth" for the epoxy to grab. When using cork, I mix the epoxy then spread it paper thin on the cork, in some spots almost thinner! I don't want to epoxy to ooze up between ties. The epoxy works incredible well and is handy when creating superelevations on curves. The attached photo shows just how little epoxy is needed, you can barely see the glisten of the epoxy on this bridge pic. John www.ztrains.comAttachments:

John, do you use nails to tack it down while it dries? Also, what bridge is that in the photo?

Mark, I have a small bag full of 1/2" MDF squares, cut 1" square. I place these on top of the rails about an inch apart or so, then I can use any light scrap wood on top of these for weight until the epoxy dries... 10 minutes or so. It's a fairly quick process. I don't use nails because of the possible deforming of ties. The bridge is the Micron Art Pratt Truss. Here I cut the the spaces down on the flex track to give me more of a bridge track look. I've been looking for the exact size needed for them small holes. Went to the local Hardware store, and EVERYTHING was WAY too BIG! Nothing at the hobby shop for Z. THEN I was at the Grocery Store and out of the corner of my eye saw it. Sewing Pins. Yes, those used for sewing and pinning stuff. I got home, and it works Perfectly. Now I can pin the track down BEFORE Glueing!

Map pins also work great and just fit between the rails, and are easier to pull out. The guyz in ZoCal taught me that one. -JamesTraction
