Holy Crap the price of these has nearly tripled in just 8 years. I bought the Tsugawa 12508 version off eBay for like $15 including shipping back in 2015. I was so happy with how well it worked I bought a 2nd one and a 12509 non powered version to keep in my show supplies box a few months later. Guess I should have bought more back then. Nun the less considering how well they work I would not hesitate to buy another one if I need it even at todays prices it would be worth it.

Been preaching them forever! The problem is they are made by a Japanese supplier with an air-tight patent!
They are brain-fart simple, made from metalized foam, used throughout the industry for radio wave (RF EMI) shielding on electronic cabinets and component boxes. These are made by Tsugawa Yokou but you pay $22 in shipping or bundle price price (product+shipping) of~$50. Both ways STILL takes 20+ days to deliver.
Now we can get them faster for Ztrack!
You can spray/drops of 70% isopropyl alcohol on it to help clean (not so good for traction tires), another spare part we haven’t been able to get.

Yes you can.. and we have them in stock! Any of our authorized dealers can also get these for you. Jeff good tip on the isopropyl alcohol. I was wondering if that could be used on the pads. I had it on my list to test. I was planning to do a video on these.. also on my list...

Those were reviewed recently in Trainini too. I have one and love it. And it was inexpensive. I keep mine dry. If a wheel set looks dirty to me I'll use alcohol on a swab or toothpick to get the grime. I think that was Trainini's only beef, this device doesn't scrub away really dirty gunk. A mystery how they get that dirty anyway, mine don't, just the ones I buy used! Use this to polish wheels. No damage to traction tires, it cleans them too.

Just bought one, and my thinking is anything to help keep stuff clean will help. My issue at home is dust, I heat with wood, and while the heat is awesome, dust goes everywhere.

My sister in law heats with wood and yes, that would create a lot more dirt. FWIW I use the little pointy swabs from the hobby shop, or the foam ones sold at womans make up stores. Never ear cleaners which have loose fibers. Small fibers to us but ropes in Z scale.
