I wanted to make a "bivouac" with a campfire, and repaint some figures in olive drab. Unfortunately I cannot find any SITTING figures to put around my campfire ; if I use standard figures and put them on ground the body is tilted 45 degrees backwards ; I didn't succeed in re-bending them using a soldering iron. So, can anybody tell me a source to get such (even civil) figures ? Otherwise I will put a "civil" camping WITHOUT fire (with figures by Trafofuchs) and use my vehicles to make a military convoy ...

Maybe cut them at the mid-section and file a bit to get that angle to 90. (could work with either seated or standing figures)

Thanks for the idea, but I am afraid that : 1) Most figures would "fly" to the floor and be very difficult to find (my floor has not a "plain" colour); due to the size and not "flat" surfaces it is very difficult to hold/fix them. 2) One would file more of his skin and nails than from the figures.
I contacted "Trafofuchs" to see if they can make such things (they made my orchestra, too) ; unfortunately they were victims of the flood, too, and presently are "idle".

Preiser makes sitting people but trying to find them could be a daunting task. Their unpainted 88500 set has some sitting people that may be worth a shot.

Not clear if you want seated (chair/benches) vs sitting on ground figures ... Noch makes seated figures that are actually available but they are SEATED and not sitting on the ground. I don't know of any seated on flat ground figures. Noch 44203 but these folks need a chair or benches: zscalehobo.com/website/noch/44203.html

Good point— sitting figures are easy to come by. Seated on the ground is more difficult.

I needed some sitting people for my West Texas Project too. So I ordered "leisure people" from outland.com
After a first paint of primer they look like the famous "terracotta army" from China.

but after adding some coulors, they look more acceptable. Take in mind that this is a close up shot!

They are doing their "duty" on the recreation part of my Marfa High School. You can see that they are slightly larger than the Preiser people, so it is better to separate them a little bit.

Thanks, but meanwhile Trafofuchs sent me 5 sitting and 5 standing soldiers ...
