Got some private messages about omitted PAs. Don't worry, they will be part of a second run. 2nd run prospects: D&RGW (Yellow with one Black stripe), NH (Original Orange), NYC P&LE (PA2), MKT, PRR variants, SP PA2 (modified) and generally new road numbers to compliment 1st run

I find the PA offering quite impressive and am looking forward to the SP Daylight units. Since these locomotives were primarily passenger, it seems that what is lacking at this point are passenger cars, which I guess has to come from Rob. Being a west coast guy, I would say things are good for UP & SP, just make more. SSW would be in need of some Daylight paint with aluminum painted roofs. DRGW lightweight cars are needed.
I would request that care be taken for SP & SSW road numbers. As I recall, they were renumerem 4 or 5 times during their lives and it would be nice if the same builder number locomotive doesn’t appear as multiple road numbers.

This is what we have for original SP PA road numbers: PA1: SP 12 units 6005A,C - 6010A,C T&NO 12 units 200A,B - 205A,B SSW 2 units 300, 301 PA2: SP 26 units 6019 - 6045 (4 different SP PA2 classes)
And plenty of renumbering of PA1s. We are sticking to original road numbers for now

Hans,
Looks like you have it well covered. Since you didn't mention it, a quick reminder that PB2s were all numbered in the early 5900 series and 5916,17 were actually E7Bs and 6017 was an E7A.

Mark Apparently, the Erie Lackawanna regeared at least some PA’s for freight use, after passenger service collapsed. I’m planning to use the AZL EL PA’s for freight so I’m hoping they’ll have road numbers that’ll be representative of both passenger and freight. I haven’t really researched this, yet, to determine how many EL PA’s ended up as a freight puller like the one below. chuckzeiler.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1550338

Dave,
My references indicate EL didn't rebuild or renumber any PAs (1 or 2), SO you're probably safe.

Short note on PB2. They are not part of the 1st run. And only probable for the 2nd run. And a note to the PA2s as well. The first version of the PA2 used the PA1 body shell. Later variants used a modified body like our SP and Southern versions also known as the PA3! Go figure! And life was not always easy for the PA2s. Here a 3 day stranded Daylight PA2 6019 close to Donner Pass (with early PA1 body shell)

We were able to add the NH Orange & Black paint scheme to the 1st production run. Pre production has started with injection parts already produced. We have to sort out the SW introduction first. Hopefully the first release in October. That should hopefully translate into December delivery of the first PAs. That said, I have been wrong before

WOW ! I will contact my dealer to order one for me, as soon as they are available ! Love the 3-colours scheme of the NH, it remembers to me the first (fantasy) model that Märklin made around ... 1962 !
