Hi group. Still in the process of reviving my first locomotives, after bringing back to life my MTL F-Units, I just remembered that I stil own a couple of Rogue GP38s. They had been resting in their boxes for 20 years or so... So I put them on the tracks, and one doesn't run anymore (the second one, not too bad, even if it's far from current AZL products). Its headlights go on, and I hear no growl coming from its motor, so I suspect there is a juice flow interruption somewhere between the locomotive's wheels and its motor's contactors.
Looks like both chassis halves are cliped together, with some miscellaneous electric equipment (diodes ? any other system ?) put randomly here and there..
My question today : how can one proceed in order of separating both chassis halves and above all putting them back together ? There is no instruction sheet other than one saying the one-year warranty will be cancelled if one dissasembles the locomotive..
Thank you for any input !
Dom
