Has anyone compared MTL track with Rokuhan track? Is there any compatibility with each other? Is there any recommendations as to which one might be better? I have an article that discusses MTL track connecting to Marklin track. Can Rokuhan be setup the same way by using rail joiners?

We have covered these topics on Rokuhan quite a lot in Ztrack Magazine. We have articles going all the way back to 2012. Or course it has been really easy for us to do so since we are the Distributor for Rokuhan in Norm American! We do have an article planned this year for Ztrack where we are going to compare all turnouts available in Z scale. This will be coming up mid-year. Yes you can use MTL track with Rokuhan. The key is to use the metal rail joiners and not the plastic roadbed joiners. The rail height is almost perfect, but the road bed may need a shim. If I remember correctly one of the roadbeds is just a hair less in height than the other. MTL track looks better due to their more prototypical tie spacing. But in my opinion, Rokuhan is the far superior track system. The turnouts are amazing, they have the largest selection of track in the market, and the system is very solid. We only use Rokuhan track when we QC AZL products since we know if a loco has issues on the Rokuhan track, then it is the loco, not the track. If you are interested in past articles we published, visit www.ztrackmagazine.com, and search for Rokuhan. Rob

I agree with Rob on the Rokuhan track being a superior system. They have the biggest selection of track types for Z-scale and it is virtually plug and play.
