So according to the last news, I won't be able to deny to people he's a crook... Terrible !  Until now I thought he wasn't but I have no other choice but to admit it... About the word "ass". Literally that's translated "cul".  And literally, the english word "asshole" can be translated in french. That is "trou du cul". Dom |

Gerard Huet owes me three locomotives paid for in 2017 , he never answers any emails and is not to be trusted anymore. I have bought about 15 of his very skilfully built items but have now lost all faith in him. I would be interested to know many people are owed money or models. He has amazing skills but no conscience. I am about $1800 out of pocket.

About two years ago he wrote (after he had sent my caboose to me !) that he stopped making and selling models. Unfortunately (for You) I didn't keep his address. So, I am afraid that You must go he same way as I did : complaint, models or money back !

I am happy to give his address but it has not helped me get any response, he is also lying because he is still making models, and trying to get people to buy them.

I have sent many letters to no avail.
Any possible claim via Paypal is well out of time. Because of previous models taking ages , I expected a 2 year or so lead in so did not register a claim in time.
Sadly I am very trusting.

In which country are You living ? If some countries, there are internationaly operating consumer associations ... All the way, I had to go to the "Gendarmerie" and lodge a complaint for swindle. As an ultimate solution, ask an attorney. All the way You won't succeed via the "kindly" method.

I am located in the UK.
I am the buyer he supplied a Zephyr to but even then it was due to be shipped with 2 owed cabooses ( 3 years + ) - he sent only the cabooses and it appeared to Paypal that I had my tracked order, had to contact Paypal asking for a refund and the Zephyr arrived very swiftly.
Not sure the Gendarmerie are interested after 5 years, my fault for trusting him I guess.

Checking this and other z forums, it seems that Mr. Huet’s business practices have been called into question a number of times since at least 2012. So this really isn’t new and I’m left to wonder why people keep going to him?

Finally, despite of the brexit, You should try to contact first a local consumer association in UK, maybe they can give You an advice what can be done ...
