Stripping / Painting AZL locomotive shells ?

Hello group,

What is the most effective paint stripper for AZL / MTL locomotive shells ? 

Rubbing Alcohol, Scalecoat stripper ? 


Regarding airbrush painting, I cut my teeth using Floquil Oils but, they've been discontinued. 


Best paint line for AZL / MTL locomotive shells?     Model Flex, Scalecoat, True Color, Vallejo ?
