Happy international day of Z scale - 2/20/20!!! I hope everyone takes a few minutes out of their day to spend some time working on or running your trains! Please share what you have done today. I would love to hear how you celebrated.

Hum, isn't it just American Z scale day? After all, internationally, the date is 20.2.20, just ask Hans! Perhaps it's International Z scale month? Then I guess Jun 5th is ZTrack day. And the 6th of May is Rokuhan day. I'll celebrate anything!

Today I finished modifying 3 more Sound Decoders. I added a stock un-modified Decoder on the right for size and space savings comparison. The secondary board and Next18 connector were removed and new wiring soldered directly to the main board These will be going into AZL F3-B units, So I disabled the lighting functions and eliminated the wiring for additional space savings. Let's give Rob a break. It's as much 2-20 as it will be 4-20 for potheads. Now that I'm home I'm running trains. I don't really need a reason to run them, though, as I run them almost every day. Right now I have 8 Z scale trains running on 6 layouts and 1 Nn3 train running (it is a z scale mechanism on z scale track). I'm not prejudiced, I'm running trains with products from: AZL, Full Throttle, Marklin, MTL, Rokuhan, Searails and various designers on Shapeways. They're all playing really nicely together.

For the record, I was too busy shipping orders to run trains on Thursday. My plan this weekend it so paint pallets for my REA module. I bought some of Walt Smiths' RP pallets from Shapeways. They are a must for me!
