I just have seen the news announcement from Maeklin for 2020. It´s a GP 38-2 and a set of the well known fright cars in a new print version.

Does it mean that there is a new batch of GP38/2 on going in the future ? Only for Marklin (with the hook ) Or also for AZL ?

The second pic on the website shows Hook couplers on it, and the same previous road number already, not even a new number.

The model we will produce for Marklin gets upgraded hand rails, a new road number, and Marklin Couplers. The marketing photo is of an AZL sample that we sent to them for evaluation purposes.

I would be in for another ATSF GP38-2, and also UP, BNSF H1, EMD Lease, and perhaps others. And I would (figuratively) kill for a CORP scheme. (their red/gray shortline scheme) Would be nice to have the new pilots. (and ditch lights, while I'm begging.)

Perhaps, but remember they do include instructions. And a cheaper, plentiful, albeit temporary spare parts route.

They should have done another run of their ATSF caboose instead of those gawdawful boxcars, meh gondolas, and a tank car that is decorated for WP MOW service...

It is probable that we will produce another run of AZL GP38-2 in the future, but we still have inventory from our last production run, and we have nothing to announce at this time.

I sure hope Marklin does another release of their Marklin 88035 Bumble Bee Mogul. It has been 16 years since that model was released, and I am sure it would easily sell out, regardless of the price they charge.
