Impressive indeed! What are the curve radii and grade? How many cars can one loco pull w/o slipping?

Nice! And what a massive elevation! How’ll you access tracks after scenery comes on top?

thx for the commentaries for Einot: I can access easily to the helix by its center hole. And I do not plan any scenery on top of the the helix. The plan is to build a new level at about 30cm high all over the actual layout.
For Ednadolski : the caracteristics of the Helix are: construction in expanded pvc 5mm (glued and screwed) : it is very light but enough rigid. just under 1,5%, 7 to 8 levels (depends where you look at it) external tracks radius:450mm internal tracks radius: 420mm height between two levels: 38mm tracks: peco total height around 35cm (depends where you look at it)
I have tested one loco with 12 cars without problems on three levels (did not test more du to lack of electrical power on all the levels) I hope and guess that I can run 20 cars trains with 3 locos we will see that in a couple of weeks

You definitely have a nice layout. Can’t wait to see upper level.

Cool, curious to know what the "breaking point" is for the number of cars the three SD40-2's could pull.

Very impressive construction and operation, thanks for the vid!
Will you be adding any lind of train detection? (optical/block/other)

no I will not; I am not easy with all of these electronic devices.
