Great trains, great scenes.
Love the unit coal train going through the deep rock cut. Really nice.

And I am working on the expansion of the layout it will be a second deck joigned by an Helix the caracteristics of the Helix are:
construction in expanded pvc 5mm just under 1,5%, 8 or 7 levels external tracks radius:450mm internal tracks radius: 420mm height between tow levels: 38mm tracks: peco
total height has to be decided : around 30mm
the template
the first cuts
the build begins
the first test
the second level will see a long run in the moutains following a river, the a great yard , and on the way back a coal mine
it will be a long process for the years to come

What an amazing layout! I'm sorry if I'm asking something that was posted earlier in the thread, but what is the overall size?

Great not so little layout - very nicely done. Can you tell me how you achieved the nice Arizona orangy rock color (see at 4:40 mark in video). Trying to figure this out so any suggestions how to paint this would be awesome! Thanks! -Tiest

The process is described high in the thread but basicaly
The rocks are made with extruded polystyrène carved with different tools a base color : beige
Then several pass of mixture of yellow, red and orange paint (I have used very cheap paint samples from DIY store) then numerous washes of brown, and others colors up to have something that looked ok to me.
