Thank you Hans! I've never really gave these Alcos a close look before. Even within some railroads, this options was inconsistent unit to unit. Brass HO models don't seem to try to model this variability.

This new loco seems really to be a hit ! BTW, are undec samples considered in the future ? I would eventually need one, normally not in a close future but later if not sooner... Waiting for all that, a little video I found on Youtube a while ago.. Dom

OK guys, thanks for the reminder, even if it's no good news to me (at least I've been able to purchase 3 undec GP38s before they're sold out one of these days..).

Rob A., In that link immediately above (from 5 or so years ago), you mentioned "I've got tons of GP38-2 and SD70 undecorated sitting here." I don't see undecorated SD70's listed for sale on azldirect.com or other places. Am I just not seeing it? I would eventually like to 3D print a shell that requires an SD70 chassis. This seems like a good utilization for a couple of those undecorated SD70's. (Or maybe you could sell the chassis and undec shell separately). Are some of those still available? How/where can I buy a couple?

I seem to remember they were sold in packs of 5 or 10, and we took a small loss on that adventure. Anyway, they are gone as far as I know - maybe Rob Kluz hid some under the mattress. Who knows how these things work?

OK, thanks. Fun to read about it. I'm a few years too late on that one.

Sorry no under SD70s that I can find hiding here. I can come up with a few under GP38s if anyone is interested.

I broke in a D&H RS3 over the weekend. It's a looker and a fine runner. It didn't want to run at first yesterday, after running it extensively the day before. It just sat on the track humming. Very CAREFULLY tightening the tiny screws holding down the circuit board put it back in action. I think what happened is the screws may not have been very tight to begin with and all the running the day before heated-up the chassis just enough to expand it then shrink it, with cooling, causing the screws to loosen enough for the board to lose contact with the chassis. Anyway, it's been running perfectly since then. I do like the new board design, with the screws holding the board down. It's less likely to be jostled out of place, as with a friction fit.
Of course, with the air horn precariously hanging on the cab, I succeeded in snapping it off with a dumb thumb. A little brain-style surgery and some CA glue got it back on but I'll be surprised if it stays there for long.

Hello. I am a new member to the forum. I looked on the Ztrack site, and could not see a listing for The RSD spare parts. Interested in a set of RSD-5 trucks. Joe

Yeah, you need those RSD trucks if you want to make U25C, U28C, U30C and U33C locos. I can use some myself, for a rainy day project or 2.

We aren't offering spare trucks at this time. We are holding back what we have for now as we work through the QC of the locos.
