when I started into Z scale a couple of years ago I exchanged a message with a Z scale club on the east coast and asked if any Z scale groups in W Pa and told no , not that he knew of , and he suggested I start my own club here , so any Z scale modelers in W Pa interested in starting a group ? The train shows I've been to in Pittsburgh I haven't seen any Z scale , and in talking to people there was asked by all the groups to join thier's , and I will probalaly join one of the N scale clubs when I retire . I've asked 2 groups that do train displays near me during the holidays about placeing a small Z scale layout that I've done with their displays this year and been told to cantact them in November. if any Z scale people in W Pa interested in forming a group let me know . Thanks Steve .
Steve welcome! I don't know of any Z scale groups in Western PA. But I am happy to help get the word out. I personally live in Columbus OH, but have a house in Sewickley that I frequent. I know there use to be a strong Z presence in Pittsburgh. Shops like M B Charles and Cranberry hobbies use to sell a lot of Z back in the day. We do have a number of Ztrack subscribers in your area. I can always add a mention in Ztrack that you are looking to meet other folks and potentially start a club.

MPRR.org is in Connecticut - they are actually showing Z scale this weekend at the Amherst show. I know they have a Z division in their club. There's also a fellow from Carmel NY showing his factory spec'd Marklin toporama layout at the same Amherst show this weekend.
