Hi, a small update with the station, still waiting for UP clearance for using the logo... Therefore I offer the choice of exchanging the UP name and logo by the clock as it existed in the early 1900. This version of the station is ready for sell, but if you prefer the UP's version, let me know so I put you on the waiting list! Charlie

Charlie, I'm not aware of a station in Z that is like the image I posted, but there are a number of other structures of similar design. The SP standard station design MTL did has a lot of potential, they were built with a lot of options. But the designer of the kit has retired and I've heard that he plans to produce kits of a number of the configurations in 2019. I could suggest another style that really fits with 3D printing: Mission style (named for the style of 18th century catholic mission built by the Spanish across the American southwest, for our European friends): Not as universal, but common from Texas to California. As far as I know, only AZL has built such a structure. The other thought I'd have is something in stone. Not very common but very universal: As far as less iconic city structures, I'd suggest looking at the now out of production Town Builder units. Very typical of just about every downtown area built around 1900. Mark

The "Livermore" station would look nice next to Randy Brown's "mission" and californian style buildings ... PS : I am not interested !

How about this train station?! I think it would be an excellent model that could be used on layouts large and small. This is where I grew up and the railroad was SP at the time. I would buy it... www.flickr.com/photos/84263554@N00/2386408666

Hi there, Thanks for the suggestions. You're both close to what I 'd like to do next as a station. As I model western area, my plan will be to propose one that would fit SP, WP and other western companies. The size you show is exactly what I'm looking for. Indeed the one you show Mark would fit Randy Brown Models. The design is interesting and quite easy to reproduce. The one you show bloodynose would be a bit more complicated to design (increasing the price) but I like very much the architecture My guess is that this next station would come around next summer. I have to say that I have one in mind... in Oregon... interesting because it has a passenger station and a small separate freight depot (similar to the one you showed Mark In the mid time, here's an update of the first station: the clock version is now ready: Note that I did not glue the windows on the central roof! What is new: The clock, the 3 large windows in the middle have been improved, as well as general detailing. Not on the picture are the side stairs that would be located at the extremities of the buildings, giving access from the front level to the backside level. Charlie

Hi all, I've posted on my website the new release, this is the Railroad Building that fits with the Furniture shop. This way you can combine both buildings, and choose your height It is ready to be produced I've also taken into account your wishes So I'm happy to tell you that the next products will be a freight depot AND a small passenger station with a "surprise plus". They are not from Denver or Salt Lake City and both are from different city, and even area They would fit most layouts and era Hope this run to be released in January/February Charlie

Hi all, Happy new year! Here's the new first 2019 release. I hope to fill the gap with the lack of small Passenger Stations! This is a Passenger Depot located south of Sacramento, California. It was used by the Southern Pacific company. The model kit consists of 3 separate structures: The Passenger Depot, a fountain and a Street Arch (still existing). This is perfect for SP, WP, UP and other companies You may find more details on my website Charlie

Charlie, sorry if you already replied to my forthcoming question, I read all the thread rather fast. Do you plan to release random items at customer request, even if the charged price will be obviously far higher ? In my case I will need a Z scale sample of Merida depot in Yucatan, Mx.... Best regards du Morvan, Bourgogne profonde. Dom

I could design a specific model for one person....but yes the price would be much higher! Thanks for the link on our french forum, Merida Station is indeed pretty nice! If some other modelers are interested I could try to make a reduced version. So far I try to get few models of different style, I have 2 stations a big and a small one, different modular city buildings (that 's what I want to expend a bit more, and the next model is currently being printed ), and other depots. For the moment I focus on structures that were used by large companies to fit most of the layouts. I just added on my website some new small models: roof detailing ( zandusmodels.wordpress.com/2019/01/25/accessories-roof-detailing/Here is the passenger depot with the street arch and fountain: charlie Attachments:

Interesting.... Your street arch looks suspiciously like the one in Lodi CA: and the station looks a lot like the neighboring train station: I'm not quite sure where the fountain fits in. Mark

Mark Hi Mark! Good shot! That's it! ...Actually you could find it on my description on my website: "This structure is a revised version of an existing Passenger Depot located in Lodi, south of Sacramento, California. It was used by the Southern Pacific company. It is still in use nowadays. The Street Arch located nearby the station still exists today." I liked the area and station, and it fitted what I was looking for after reading all the comments. And because it was SP! The fountain is in front of the station (I did not make the birds!) Charlie

Unfortunately I’ve no data about that station’s size. I was thinking about a full scale model but maybe it’s too big... I will try to find this data searching on Google maps or Google Earth. Maybe you’re right about scaling it down. I’ll let you know, in the case you’d be ok... Dom
