Prefer the original NH color scheme to match the classic locos.

Thanks, but I could already buy this (by MTL), now it is sold out ! Maybe it will be of interest for other modellers ...I would rather look for (freight) locomotives ...

Thanks, but one is enough for me ... The only cars that I have with the same company name and "several" road numbers are (by MTL) the two "Susie" box cars, the two C&O box cars and both "State of Maine" BAR's, and then my train of FT 33' hoppers (4 NYC and 2 Boston & Maine) ... One pair of freight tracks will allow a train made of my 6 hoppers + caboose, and the other one 2 "short" and 3 "long" freight cars (box or gondolas) + caboose.

As far as we know MTL never made the 1937 40´ AAR Box Car. When we did the research it would not make sense for us to duplicate an existing design. This is our findings:
MTL Basically 4 different Box Cars that share Underframe, Roof, Ends and Running Board. The Box Car resembles the PS-1 design with Youngstown door. The second car is identical, but feature a Superior door. The third version has totally different (later design) sides and uses a plug-in door. The last version has Superior Double doors. A nice detail are the various hand brake wheels.
AZL This is a brand new release and represent the standard 1937 AAR 40´ Box Car. It is offered with Murphy raised panel roof, both Youngstown and Superior doors and the most common 4-5 Dreadnaught ends. AZL also offer the correct choice of wooden and etched steel Running Boards.

But they look VERY similar (especially when they run in a train ... ) Maybe that collectors will see the differences if they are displayed in a showcase ? In my case, I couldn't at the first glance !

And, as a "fan" of NH, I had the opportunity to buy (on eBay) the 40' box car with plug door and white NH (only the two letters) logo, MTL # 502 00 240 (it was sold mainly "for collectors" ). But on all my MTL-cars I replace the original axles with those by FT or FoxValley : I am not a collector, my cars shall be in use !
To Hans : the car which looks like your new model was built in 1944, not in 1937 (source : Z Scale Hobo) but it looks very similar !
