No worries at all - thanks for asking - I admit it is a bit confusing.
This is a hard subject, as I am a HUGE supporter of free speech. On the whole we all prefer a good freewheeling discussion. I'm just trying to prevent it from turning into a typical Cable News show with everyone just yelling at each other simultaneously!

Hopefully with the return of the MTL SD40-2 we will see the geeps reappear also. Those F7's can be re powered with a geep chassis . When the GP35 first arrived on the scene it was possible to purchase bare chassis which I purchased several for various projects including creating an FP9A which fit onto the geep chassis without modification to the chassis, and to match it I shortened the another chassis using instructions of someone who used the shortened chassis for an MP15 and it fit the F9B shell spot on and gave me power matched pair of FP9A and F9B and the shortened chassis would still take an MZA4 decoder. I have lengthened that chassis and shortened it is quite versatile in that way for various projects. I have used that chassis to make doodlebugs (early RDC) N scale narrow gauge DL535's to power the PA shells from Hallmark, and the Veranda Turbine. It is really robust and has nice mass for good traction. My fleet of MTL engines is now approaching 20 year of faithful service. I have only had to replace one motor in all that time.

Another newbie here so hello from me! My name is John Edge from Warrington, UK and I am super tempted by Z scale. I have never really seen US outline Z before in the UK but I find it more tempting than German (I have plenty of German H0). I also have plenty of US H0, having been into the American scene for some 30 years now. IF i take up Z scale, it will likely be Southern Pacific say, 1990-96, West Coast area but I guess I'll need to dip my toes in the water first. Cheers, John.

Welcome aboard! Great location and era. Makes me think the locomotive in my avatar (SP 9809) and the Coast Line/Cuesta Grade. Awesome railroading area.

Hello Rob, My first time responding to your azlforum.
Glad to see you are producing the Super Chief. From reading your comments and your goals, it is a good move to leave out the "Blue" series Pullman sleeper (10-3-2)for the Super Chief in the 1950s. It would be a great car for your "Chief" other Santa Fe streamliners if you expand someday.
It would be great to see an AZL Z scale "Pine" series 10-6! When you did the CZ Budd 10-6 you almost made a Pine. However the Santa Fe Pine had only 3 hallway windows, not 6 like the CZ. There were no skirts on the Pine 10-6s except what Budd called "natural skirt" very subtle pieces on the ends and side. In Z scale they would be difficult to discern.
The 1951 Super Chief featured the new ACF Regals and Palms, as you noted. The ACF sleeping car windows were slightly larger than the the 1947 Santa Fe Pullman Standard built cars, like the 1947 Regal and 1947 Blue series. You can notice the difference looking at a 1947 PS car and a 1951 ACF car side by side.
Lastly, it would be terrific to see an AZL CB&Q E-8 or E9. The CB&Q F3's assignment on the CZ were short lived. The E units pulled the CZ for most of it's career. With all the great CB&Q passenger cars you offer, the E units would be great pulling so many types of CB&Q trains! Not to mention the Empire Builder and North Coast Limited trains between Chicago and St. Paul. Plus the paint scheme is very easy, just silver with minimal red stripes. I hope you will consider a CB&Q E-8 or E-9.
