Hello again ... Sorry for this additional topic, but You will understand if You read the last post in my precedent topic. I wanna use either the "Dreieichen" station by Kibri ( Kibri) or the former "Neustadt" by Faller ( Faller on EBay) for a small town with only one passenger platform. Which would be the best for "US" style in Massachusetts (I think Kibri). Thanks for any answer ...

I agree that the Kibri station looks more like a station you would find in the U.S. I used it to make a larger station with multiple tracks coming to the back under glass canopies. I moved the small roof over the doors to the front and made a new roof to go between the station and the glass canopies.

Thank You Mark, but : 1) It is sold out almost everywhere, only one (built and used), on EBay. 2) It is too "low", like the Torrnstein station, so I would need to elevate the whole area around it. 3) If possible, I want a (even short) roof over the platform (Torrnstein seems difficult to modify).

Unfortunate about the Märklin station. Faller has a similar station 282-706. The main point is that the NH railroad was a commuter line and the large stations really were really uncommon for a wayside station. Many of these station would have a trackside platform and a station set back from the track. Maybe a free-standing platform would be a possibility. i.ebayimg.com/00/$(KGrHqR,!jIE4rzo3YQUBOL1m,G,Lw~~0_35.JPG Mark

I wanna use "Blumendorf" as a secundary station, for my village (on my layout there will be 2 stations). Perhaps this, on Shapeways : StationI could add a pedestal for the height (Unfortunately Torrnstein has already a kind of pedestal). Some stations by Outland Models could fit, but I think that, even re-painted, they look too much "toy-like"

Why don't you go with the MTL station, or MicronArts.

Thank You Shamoo737, but MTL has only one model ... And about Micron Arts, I don't like brass kits. Why not the Shapeways model ?

The Faller structure looks very European. There are some pre- built stations that have popped up on eBay recently that are great for a small to medium size town.

The Archistories kits are perfect for any kind of kit-bashing. And they are available in Europe as well as in the US. Here comes an example by Dirk; And this shed was then built from the left overs.............. Try Kit-Bashing, it is a lot of fun! Best, Sven

Now I searched the net for several hours, and I think there are only 2 possibilities : - Shapeways , despite of the fact that it has no "surface structure". - Faller.

I like the Faller unit better. Maybe don't install some of the "gingerbread" along the roof edges, but it fits the era and the region.

To Mark : I don't understand what You mean with "gingerbread" ... The brick structures ? I don't know if it is possible not to install them ( Please look here , some parts seem to be the same). And look at this (at the roof's edge). Perhaps should I paint them with another colour ? Things I wouldn't use are the copper-like "turrets", they look too much like " Friedensreich Hundertwasser's design"And, about Shapeways, I saw thisAn additional question : I don't know if in USA a station "building" is entirely dedicated to passenger, freight and baggage services. In Europe there can be additional services in the same structure, like a Post Office, Avis-Rent-A-Car or even a tourist office. This could justify the size of the Faller station ...

Simple, architecturally pleasing for small town USA. Reminds me of the station in Radford VA many decades ago. The German models look out of place & you're right about the Outland product line.
