Here is the SP example Sven. It's found on the website I linked. Compare that with the ones Gerd is producing; View AttachmentView AttachmentGerd, you may want to comment? Best, Sven It's hard to beat the factory at their own game.

I am afraid final price will soar in the next days, but hey: dreaming is free. With auctions, you never know :-) Heh, brass doesn't usually come cheap. Not usually. But sometimes dreams do come true.

Best, Sven They are all great looking units. But the rivet-counter in me always gets a bit annoyed. SP added two vents on either side of the center door, which never gets modeled and even the CSRM restoration of 6051 doesn't have them. www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=112421Mark

Best, Sven The only reason why I'm doing those conversions is the lack of injection molding or reasonable priced brass. The casting quality from Ajin can't be compared to some Christmas tree decorations, simply great and...better than the latest Chinese releases. On the other hand I'm adding some details which make up for other shortcomings and also able to make some PA2, still I would be happier if I had some brass PA

Here's a Huet repaint. It's a tough job painting a fully assembled and detailed model. Might have to dull down that gloss at some point.

Anyone hear anything from Huet? Ordered my SW from him 4-5 years ago and paid. Then nothing! Same for me! I've never seen the 44-tons I ordered. Even if we discussed a lot by phone (I'm french, in France like him). Good contact until I paid him. Then nothing .... He's not honest, be careful !! Luckily, I used paypal and I could get back almost all of my money! You better buy AZl! Here's one of my AZL brass

Wow $4500 USD for the cab forward set, good luck with that. Agreed. The pricing for a lot of the Marklin items are also ridiculous.
