I happen to live about 45 minutes away from the orange county convention center (NTS 2017) and when I heard that the national train show was coming here in 2015 I've been counting down the days, I have a small layout on a 2x4 sheet of plywood, and My Dad said "hey why don't you bring it" well I'd love to take it. I figured you all would have experience taking, registering, your layouts to NTS could you all give me some tips, links, and directions on how to get in and show my layout. Thanks
Why don't we all plan to meet in Orlando? I think it fun to match faces with names...
I'm planning on going, anyway.
I'd be willing to head up the event, perhaps a meet at "colonial photo and hobby" orlando's only and largest train shop (no z) or
"TRF trains and MNT hobbies 45 minutes away from the show, nearest AZL dealer to show huge z selection, and is 5 minute drive from my house, talk about lucky! there is a very fancy Chinese restraunt across the road from colonial photo which has good group rates!
perhaps I should make this official by getting AZL or ZTRACK to sponser or something I dunno?
I just want to remind everyone that the NMRA National Train Show will be August 4th, 5th and 6th, 2017 in Orlando, Florida. Ellen and I will have our modules there and Mike Scully and Steve Eichman will have table-top modules on the B.Y.O.Z. table. I'd like to invite anyone who plans to attend the show to bring some trains to run.
Please stop by, say "Hi" and introduce yourself. We're looking forward to seeing everyone there. Thom Welsch
Thanks! By the way I contacted someone in the nmra who said it was hopeless to get in now.not being one to give up easily I contacted Monroe Stewart (Modular Layout Coordinator) who got me in very quickly and was very enthusiastic a 13 year old is a model railroader!
