Does anyone have or have used a Marklin Rolling Road? Reason I ask, when I do exhibitions my locos always benefit from 5 mins warm up before adding to a train, so a rolling road might be good

Are you referring to the Marklin 89931 or 89932 roller test stand? If so Yes I have the 89932 and have used it many times mostly for testing purposes but it could be used to run/warm up a locomotive on the workbench or at a show. It can be difficult to get the roller stands slid to just the right position but once you get therm where you want them and tighten the thumb screws to hold them in place it works great. I got the 8 roller version along with a couple extra rollers so i could set 4 of the rollers to the loco i use it for the most and still have more rollers i can adjust to other loco wheel bases with out having to move the one i use them most.
I also have the KPF Zeller test rollers. KPF makes a complete roller test stand and sells extra rollers. I simply bought several of their Extra roller trolleys and made my own base. The trolleys simply sit on 2 metal rails and slide back and forth. When testing loco's with different wheel spacing it is quicker and easier to just slide them to the desired wheel spacing than the Marklin model. However they are just sitting there and can shift or kick to the side when the wheels start turning as they are not clamped in place.
Depending on your intended use They both have their advantages and disadvantages. For use warming up your loco's I would recommend the Marklin model. Unlike the KPF model once the wheel rollers are set you do not have to worry about them moving while the loco sits there with the wheels spinning. I just wanted to let you know their are other options out there.
Which ever model you go with Be Care full and keep a close eye on your Loco while its on the stand. I've had loco's launch right off both models. It only takes a speck of dust or piece of ballast to stop one roller and when that happens the loco will drive forward/reverse and launch right off the stand.

The difference between the Märklin 89931 and 89932 is that the 89931 has 4 sets of roller brackets and the 89932 had 8.
The 89932 is out of production.
The ZPF Keller stands are much less expensive; I'll probably buy one of those.

The 89932 is 10 inches over all, 2 inches of track and 8 inches of slide room for the 8 sets of rollers. The 89931 is about 2 inches shorter and only comes with 4 sets of rollers. The KPF Zeller is 19 inches long and comes with 4 sets of roller trolleys
The 89931 is the cheapest but it is only good for single locomotives. If you have any of the Marklin F7 AB sets with both units powered you will want to get the Marklin 89932 or the KPF Zeller and some extra KPF roller trolleys And for Marklin's F7 ABA sets or any of AZL's larger Steam like the Challenger, Big Boy, AC12 Cabforward you are going to want to go with the KPF Zeller and a bunch of extra roller trollyes.
Doing a quick search The 89931 can be found for under $150 The 89932 for around $210 And the KPF Zeller for around $240 and $17.00 each for the extra rollers sets
The Marklin 89933 Extra roller sets are sold out everywhere I've checked an appear to be out of production according to a few websites

If all you want is a means to "warm-up" your locomotives, why not just an oval of track? Both Rokuhan and MTL have ovals for $20, much less than the units referenced above.

the thoughts there but you don't get extra room at exhibitions to be setting up a loop of track

I would think there would be space underneath the show layout. Perhaps a subway and the locomotives pop up to the layout when ready.

Just ordered directly from KPF Zeller directly out of Germany and was able to get there 250mm dyno, 2 sets of extra rollers and dummies and the clamp that holds the loco to the dyno for a little over $100. The one on eBay is way too big and $$$ and no clamp to hold it in place. kpf-zeller.de/index.php?cat=c10_Spur-Z-spur-z.html
