Hi, I'm french, so I hope you would excuse my poor english. I am passionate by french and US railway too, specially the NYC, PRR, AT&SF, D&RGW and SP. The AZL cars are beautiful, and I just received one new NYC obs car. But I have a problem : the car is arrived a little bit broken : two windows are missing, and the communication door at the end of the car too. Some pieces of plastic are moving inside the car. I would like to open the coach, to disassemble it, in order to repair these pieces. It seems it would be easier to open the roof. How can I do ? Thank you for your help. Best regards, Jean-François

The roof just pops off. If you have a pick or something very thin to pry the end up it will pop off.

Jean-François, Welcome to the forum. It is unfortunate that you're first visit is to discuss a problem. As Arron posted on the heavyweight cars the roof is a press fit into the body. It can be removed by prying between the roof and body: I like to use my finger nail or tooth pick to loosen the roof, starting at an end and working around the car. Remember to identify an end of the car and the roof so you can install it the right direction. The roof will snap back in. Hope this helps, Mark
