The SP rotary snow plow SPMW 205 will be on display at the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento through March, for anyone who would like to get a close look. Now there's something for Z...a functional rotary.

I remember seeing a video of that, pretty sweet!! I remember watching it as a kid working the line above Donner Lake. You'd see this huge plume of snow coming from a small black dot. Mark

Do you really want snow in a z scale layout. You know that would be an interesting project, I've seen operating coal dumps and a little talc can't be any worse. Maybe the layout would smell like Old Spice. But I'm still working on getting smoke out of a Mikado: I've got the volume, just can't get the valve sync right.

As for actually using it to move snow, Its still a work in progress, Grinding a couple hundred thousand Snow Flakes down to 1:220th with out melting them has proven to be a very difficult time consuming process.
