Amtrak P42 and Superliner observations

Over the weekend I was finally able to give myself a "Train Day" and I pent it playing with my Amtrak train.
The P42 (#18) runs well. It has no problems pulling a 4 car set plus a few more. Good detail on the body and the paint. IMHO the ditch lights on this unit look more prototypical than the SD70ace. The unit's backup light are also a nice touch. The new body mount couplers work well (nose and rear, push and pull) although I have some unresolved issues with their operation.
The superliner liner details are great and are wheelchair accessible.
They run well on my test track, both push and pull.
The interior details are great: about the only things missing are the stairways and the toilets. The cars open up easy with 3 side snaps and 2 end snaps holding the shell in place. it looks like it will be easy to detail the interior. I wish it were possible to mold flatter windows as the much of this detail is lost through them. I'm thinking about replacing them with glass on any car I detail.
Overall I'm very happy with the train, although I'll be happier when my diner ships. These are large cars and a long train, but I would recommend them to anyone who has the space.
