Coming March or April this year We are making 3 phases of the Airslide Hoppers! Most of this will be noticeable on the ends. Also, Different walkways with different grab handle configuration are incorporated! First run will have 24 different raodnames. The Airslides hoppers were produced from 1963 to 1980. Still in use today. Airslide Hopper.pdf (360.75 KB)

More great news! No GATX? To clarify... There *is* a GATX scheme on the PDF. It is a gray car with a very small GATX circle logo, centered. (and what appear to be SOO reporting marks?) I think what many of us are referring to with the GATX cars is the light blue car with dark blue vertical/diagonal logo panel (and a few variations of that panel, it seems) See: www.scaletrains.com/rivet-counter-ho-scale-gatc-4180-airslide-covered-hopper-gacx-blue-run-4.htmlThe above car was a very popular scheme and sort of the "poster boy" for the twilight years of the modern Airslide car. One point of note...there are references to 24 schemes, but only 23 in the PDF. So maybe there is still hope for this scheme making the first round? Maybe the artwork wasn't complete? Just being hopeful.

The diagonal one is more of a variation in my mind...that pure vertical version you did is the one I remember. (Although, searching through I seem to have more pics of the other one, go figure) Anyway, hope we'll either get this one in subsequent run or maybe get some decals from somewhere. Still plenty of neat schemes up for grabs.

Hi there, With AZLDiirect routed to ZTrack Center, will this be the place to make purchase all goodness being announced for upcoming months? -Tiest There are several places where you can easily buy newly released products, each with minor pros & cons. Try them all. Such as: uszscale.com, zscalehobo.com, zscalemonster.com, ztrackcenter.com, nscalesupply.com, and others. ZTrack magazine also mentions some more shops too. Also note that you should keep an eye on ztrackresale.com to watch for used items that might interest you. There are also some new Micro-Trains items that are available there too.
