Shown at the NTS, Ztrack is now taking orders for the Archistories REA Transfer Warehouse! Ztrack has partnered with Archistories of Germany to create this incredible kit. The kit is inspired by the REA transfer warehouse that were spread across the US. We have designed this kit to be expandable. With the extension kit, you can create a structure with prototypical length! The kit can be built with or without the REA lettering so creating a generic warehouse is completely possible. Two kits are available: 103191 Base Kit REA Transfer Warehouse Includes two end sections, one middle section and an extreme amount of details! Dimensions 3.15"L x 6.10"W x 3.15"H. No painting required. All parts come colored as shown in the photos. 104191 Extension Kit REA Transfer Warehouse The kit has been designed to add extensions to create a prototypically long building! Dimensions 3.15"L x 3.38"W x 2.83"H. No painting required. All parts come colored as shown in the photos. This is a Ztrack only exclusive kit! We expect these kits to be here in about 2-3 weeks. Orders are now being accepted at Ztrack Center: www.ztrackcenter.comRob

Just curious as to the shipping charges? Are these the current rates for domestic shipping? Assuming a bulk order is being shipped from Deutschland, how do you calculate the domestic rate - based on weight and size of pkg.? Just seems to be a little steep - not complaining just trying to get an understanding.
Thnx

What about to offer just the front wall as an option, to use it directly on the back of the layout. In that case I would order it.

It doesn't really work that way. We do believe though that this kit is ideal for kitbashing and using for multiple purposes. You easily can align the walls to create a back drop piece.
So a story from the NTS. A gentleman was walking by the booth and dead stopped when he saw the kit. He ran over to look at it and exclaimed that this was the single best REA building kit he has ever seen. He does HO and so wished we would offer it in the larger scales. Once again, Z scale has something others only wish they had. This was very validating especially after Archistories and myself have spent months researching, developing and creating this kit. The amount of work that went into was massive. The results show.

Rob, I gotta say...this kit looks amazing. Definitely a building that you could build a layout around, and there aren't too many of those in any scale. Kudos for the hard work you and the Archistories team put into this.

Especially with the announcement of the RS3's, and the future SW1000/1500 coming, this would be a great centerpiece to a switching layout!

As Rob said, a lot of work and money was spent on this project. It's also not that Ztrack makes a profit with this kit. Product development is very lengthy and therefore expensive. Also, the Z market is overall limited. To make at least no losses, this kit has its price. - and it's not even too high for its standards. Our aim was to give something very special to the US Z market and to give it an impetus - and I think we can be satisfied with the result. Piece parts of kits are not available individually, so we ask for your understanding. We hope you enjoy this kit and we would be happy to see your REA dioramas, you created here in this forum. Best regards from germany!

For any of you who are not familiar with Archistories kits here is my take on the subject. The REA building and Archistories kits in general: This is a magnificent looking structure from the images I have seen and there is no doubt in my mind that this will be a wonderful addition to your layout. I am currently working on my second Archistories kit, the Wolkenstein Station, and there is no disappointment from me in the quality of their kits. I loved the look of the station from the beginning and had to have it and yes I paid a higher price than what you could probably find for another station but the quality of the kit is worth so much more to me.
In general, Archistories kits are:
- Laser cut using "architectural grade card stock".
- The "card stock" parts are pre-colored using a high quality color process. No additional coloring needed.
- The kit details are truly amazing and the construction fit is much better than the tolerances found in most molded plastic kits.
- These are high quality kits that rival most plastic kits in fit, looks and feel. These are not your "ordinary paper kits".
Does the price for the kit seem high? Maybe to some but at the end of the day it all boils down to "you get what you pay for". A shameful plug for the REA building kit, probably but as I said before I am confident you won't be disappointed.
DISCLAIMER: I AM IN NO WAY AFFILIATED WITH ZTRACK NOR ARCHISTORIES LASERKUNST. THESE ARE JUST MY OPINIONS.

Would it be possible to arrange at least the shipping directly from Germany for us on the other side of the pond?
