It looks like the panel that came off is brass. You would probably do better with a couple of spots of CA since it's mixed materials. You might want to wait for the AZL guys to get back from NTS to confirm this.

Correct. I would recommend CA. Apply a few spots to the white area exposed on the shell Do not go to close to edge since you don't want it to seep up along the edges of the plate and damage the paint.

I'd use CA, too. I'd recommend going with the thicker, gap-filling type, so you can apply a little CA and then have some time to position the part, before it starts setting-up, and it'll cross any gap across the parts. Something like this. www.amplifiedparts.com/products/adhesive-bob-smith-industries-insta-cure-gap-fillingIt won't take much and you don't want to apply so much it'll seep out the edges with the part in place. CA is strong stuff so you don't need to completely cover a side. Some small drops should do.

Or simply leave it off, looks like it's in the shop for maintenance!

Note on CA with plastics, since the surfaces are not porous you need very little CA, and you should leave it to set overnight just to be sure, medium CA on plastic can take a while to harden. If you do not use CA often look for the packs of small "one shot" tubes. Shelf life of an opened bottle of CA is 6-12 months in my experience.

Update: I used a few small drops of Bob Smith medium CA to glue the brass cover, it worked perfectly.
