Hans,
Slightly of topic, but if you're going to be running more RDCs, what would the possible be for a reissue of the SP and ATSF in the as-delivered paint scheme, essentially no bloody noses??

Have any links to Pictures you can share?
I thought we should move this to a new topic.
I have some copyrighted images that I can shared privately over the weekend. I will check the usual sites for new images but I'm not aware of much.
Here's some history I can share regarding my query.
SP: The SP acquired the RDC for the "capital Corridor" between Oakland and Sacramento to met a PUC mandate. As delivered, there was no bloody nose. When the PUC allowed SP to cancel the service, the RDC was transferred to NW Pacific for service to and from Eureka as trains #3 & #4. About that time the bloody nose was added. In the early 60's the unit was hit by a logging truck and that control cab was modified:

So SP 10 ran in the currently modeled hardware and paint scheme for only a couple of years.
ATSF: As delivered for the Surfliner, the ends were painted with just the Santa Fe cross. When the units were overhauled about 1955-56, they were painted with the Super Chief nose. Not long after, they units were involved in a major accident:

and when they were rebuilt, one control car was rebuild as a small baggage area. So again the AZL configuration models a very small period of time.
IMHO manufacturers miss an opportunity not modeling the various paint schemes. For example my road of int erst, WP, had 5 major paint jobs for their F units.
