So, I was wondering if there is anyone coordinating a Z scale presence for the 2019 NTS in Salt Lake City?

I'm hoping someone or some group on the west coast decides to coordinate a Z scale presence in Salt Lake City. I'm coordinating the 2018 NTS in KC.

I'm going,it's only a 6 hour drive. I want to have a new module built by then, so I hope we have a coordinator too.

Jack Chase is in SLC and was planning coordination early this year. I gave him Lindley's e-mail (helps coordinate ZoCal Z and I (and Mickie) plus hopefully Matt (now that he's "retired") will be there from the BAZ Boyz that includes recently retired Robert Ray (now of 'BAZ'[Boise Area Z] I'll get with Jack and move this forward. I will likely be retired too and need to pound out 2 new modules since Robert's and Matt's retirements. This is the 150th anniversary of the Golden Spike and Promontory, UT

We've been talking it up here in Southern California. Bringing ZoCal's yard and other modules is feasible. We need to hear from Jack to start our planning.

It's a shame Jack and the west coast people aren't even considering inviting anyone else from across the country to join them. I emailed Jack on 9-26-2018 and haven't heard a word from him.

FYI: Jack did NOT volunteer for this and only talked about it, with me 3 years ago. I had assumed that he would assist and coordinate. I've called him direct, 2x over a month along with earlier e-mails. So, there may be a reason why he does not respond.
At this point, we'll likely be doing this altogether. But lets wait until next year. We all know its coming. We know where to find all.
FYI: *NOTHING* starts, relative to the NMRA application, until ~ April (as in 2019) so we have lost of time. Posts will be copied between forums (e.g. Trainboard, ZCS, Yeahooo, etc.
We will need layouts and BYOZ. Even with layout designs for any requested space (to justify the needed area, the NMRA must work with others and we could end up with smaller space (or more) and also 2 (or more) individual spaces, which is good too.

I see from the NMRA magazine Jack is on the list for the layout tours. As far as I recall, the first Z scale layout out west on the tour.

"I think one of the most impressive things has been the 2 z scale layouts."

This is an awesome video from the NTS in SLC. Every time I watch it I see something different to draw inspiration from. Well done!
